Born and raised in Canada and having worked extensively in the US, Sheila wears many hats, that of a pianist, pharmacist, educator and volunteer. Amongst her many qualifications are Bachelor’s in Education (English) degree, Nursery Teacher Training and the Maria Montessori Diploma with distinction (Canada). As an international educator she brings with her over 12 years of enriching experience specifically in the field of Early Years education.
Sheila is passionate about creating an Early Years educational experience that emphasises application of learned knowledge through curiosity and building a genuine love of learning. She has demonstrated capabilities in curriculum design and content development to maximise student engagement in classes, particularly through the novel use of music and art to communicate concepts.
As Head Early Years curriculum and member of Cognizance International Academic Advisory Board, Sheila would be putting her accumulated experience to work, crafting new models in pre-primary and strengthening the foundations laid by her predecessors.
